Woodside has been named as the new America Chief of Google. He will be replacing Tim Armstrong, who leaves Google to join AOL as The chairman And Chief Executive. Woodside has been overseeing Google’s operations in the U.K., Benelux region and Ireland. He was responsible for starting advertising sales operations in Europe and making a presence in markets such as Central Europe and the Middle East.
Google senior vice president of global sales and business development Omid Kordestani said “Ever since I met Dennis in 2003, I have been impressed by his combination of entrepreneurialism and operational excellence and Woodside has helped establish positive relationships with our big partners.”
