Verizon Launches New HD Channels To FiOS TV Lineup in Portland Area

Verizon Communications has announced that it has added new high-definition channels in its FiOS TV lineup for Portland area subscribers. The Telco is now offering more than 100 HD channels, 1,300 HD choices and more than 1,000 free high-definition video-on-demand (VOD) titles offered every month. The new HD channels launched include:

Encore HD

Cinemax HD

HBO HD

MLB Extra Innings

NHL Center Ice HD and

NHL Network HD

Verizon claims that it offers more HD channels that its competitor Comcast in the region.

New consumers who sign-up for FiOS TV between now and Dec. 31 will be eligible for a free access of premium packages that include Cinemax, HBO and FiOS TV’s Movie Package for three months.
