SureWest Communications has completed its expansion of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network with superior fiber-optic technology in Merriam and Olathe. SureWest has announced this on Oct. 7 that 1500 subscribers can access the fastest internet speeds of 100Mbps and superior high-definition programming in this region. SureWest is also sure to expand this service to more customers in greater Kansas City region and targeting about 1,500 more subscribers in Merriam and Olathe by November 2008 and 8,000 total by the end of the year. The communities of Prairie Village will also receive this FTTH network service by the end of 2008 or early 2009.
