by admin on July 20, 2008

SureWest Communications servicing the Greater Sacramento Valley market has acquired the Kansas City-based broadband triple-play provider ‘Everest Broadband’ on February 13, 2008 for $173 million in cash. SureWest Communications will be integrating Everest Broadband to SureWest and will launch 18 new high-definition channels in the Kansas City Region. Surewest is planning to deliver these channels over the next 30 days.

Steve Oldham, SureWest president and CEO said “Using the SureWest name for the Kansas City operations reinforces our message of ‘One Company, One Vision’ and as we expand our network and launch new marketing campaigns, it is important for the operations in our Kansas City and Sacramento regions to be recognized as part of one company integrated under one name and one brand.”
