Starz Entertainment has promoted Nancy McGee as Executive Vice President, Marketing for the company. Starz Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Myers has announced this on Aug. 20. McGee joined Starz in February 2007 and had been Senior Vice President, Marketing before the promotion. She was responsible for branding, marketing, research and new product development for the Starz channels and related services. After becoming Executive Vice President of the company McGee will have the additional responsibility for marketing all live-action television productions whether for the Starz channels or other distribution outlets and overall responsibility for the branding strategy wherever the Starz name is used, including home video, theatrical and Internet services.
Bill Myers said “Since Nancy joined us last year, she has executed a highly successful nationwide branding campaign — our first in several years — including a bold new logo and a new on-air look for our channels. She launched the marketing effort for ‘Crash,’ our first hour-long dramatic series for the Starz channels. And she leads the team that developed the Starz Green Room events at the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Denver.”
