DirecTV Launches Local PBS HD In 10 More Markets

DirecTV has launched local Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in high-definition in ten more markets on Dec. 10. DirecTV began its PBS HD launch last week to become to first provider to do and has added 14 markets during its launch.

The satcaster is expanding its market coverage by adding PBS in HD in ten more markets. DirecTV PBS HD is available to the following areas :

Burlington, Vt.-Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, Mich.

Indianapolis, Ind.

Knoxville, Tenn.

San Diego, Calif.

San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, Calif.

Springfield-Holyoke, Mass.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.

Toledo, Ohio

Youngstown, Ohio

DirecTV is planning to launch in many more markets before the year end and also in 2009.
