DirecTV Launches Local HD Channels in Boise, Idaho

DirecTV has announced that local high-definition programming is available to subscribers in the Boise, Idaho markets. The satcaster has added local HD channels in these areas on Thursday, Nov. 6 and following networks is available:

KBCI/CBS

KTVB/NBC

KIVI/ABC and

KTRV/FOX

DirecTV is expanding its local HD broadcast in many markets in recent past and local HD is available in 109 cities, which represents more than 86 percent of U.S. TV households, and the satcaster will provide in more cities and planning to end the year with local HD channels in more than 121 cities.

DirecTV subscribers with an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish will receive these local HD channels.
