DirecTV Adds Local PBS HD in Five Markets

DirecTV completed launching local Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in high-definition in 24 markets recently. The sat caster said during the launch that it will provide PBS HD to more markets in 2008 and 09 and also add PBS in markets where it now serves local HD channels. DirecTV has now launched PBS in HD in following five more markets:

Atlanta

Baltimore

Cleveland

Omaha

Nebraska and

Lincoln/Hastings

DirecTV will start the New Year with more PBS HD launch, but subscribers are expecting more national high-definition channels.
