Comcast has recently launched 50 Mbps High-Speed Internet Service in Harrisburg using DOCSIS 3.0 technology. Comcast has extended its Docsis 3.0 launch in Pittsburgh and parts of West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. This service is offered at no additional charge to its residential customers in these areas.
Docsis 3.0 technology will offer 12 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream, and 16 Mbps and 2 Mbps.
Comcast in a statement said “With wideband, we’re putting the pedal to the metal and delivering more speed for our customers, is just a taste of what’s to come – Comcast will bring Internet speeds of 160 Mbps or more in the future. Today’s announcement reaffirms our commitment to offer more speed to more customers than any other U.S. Internet service provider.”
