Conde Nast Media Group, a unit of Conde Nast Publications has announced that the 5th Anniversary of FASHION ROCKS in a Live performance of “Just Stand Up” to be held in Radio City Music Hall. The charity show is in support of Stand up To Cancer, the funds will be used to accelerate cancer research. Ashanti, Carrie Underwood, Ciara, Fergie, Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield, and Sheryl Crow are to join the stage to raise funds for the social cause. ABC, CBS, and NBC are to broadcast the Cancer’s special Live show from the FASHION ROCKS stage on Friday, September 5th.
“Our goal with this initiative and TV show is to ‘tip’ the conversation in this country about cancer — to get people riled up, so they want to do something about the fact that it still takes so many lives,” Laura Ziskin, Stand Up To Cancer Executive Producer of the September 5 television special and a cancer survivor. “We are grateful to L.A. Reid, Kenny Edmonds and the performers for donating their talent to our cause, and I can’t think of a more perfect venue then FASHION ROCKS to showcase this amazing song which only helps further our momentum to fight cancer as never before.”
