AT&T has launched mobile broadband coverage in ten Indianapolis area communities on October 16. AT&T has activated ten Central Indiana communities including Monrovia, Alexandria, Baker’s Corner, Bud, Cicero, New Palestine, Rosston, Sheridan, Spring Lake and Strawtown.
George S. Fleetwood, president, AT&T Indiana, said: “The Telecom and Video Reform Act continues to make Indiana an attractive place for providers to invest in new technology. We applaud all of the policymakers who supported these reforms. Their collective vision has helped create jobs, expand technology and deliver real benefits to Hoosier consumers.”
Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman said: “AT&T is creating economic opportunity in Indiana by expanding critical wireless access, providing Hoosiers faster and better options for everything from reaching emergency services to conducting business to sharing information with family and friends. AT&T’s investments will also ensure that our state has access to the advanced wireless broadband services that help drive economic growth.”
